波幅為描述波擾動大小之量。
以一維無阻尼諧和波（或單頻波）為例：u(x,t)＝Acos(kx－ωt＋δ)式中，u表示波之擾動；
x和t分別表示空間和時間座標；
k、ω和δ分別為波數、圓頻率和相位角；
常數A則稱為波幅或振幅。
